I've been studying public speaking for 6+ yrs.
There are 2 types of speaking problems. Most people are fixing the WRONG one:
Type 1: Skills gap
You don't know how to structure your ideas
You've never practiced presenting
You need frameworks
→ Communication coaching fixes this one.
Type 2: Pressure interference
You have all the skills. You're well prepared
But under pressure, something hijacks the control
Your mind goes blank. You reach for a word you've said 100 times but it's just... GONE.
→ This is a Nervous System response. It needs a different solution.
(No amount of technique or learning more skills makes it better)
Leaders I work with aren't beginners. They come to me having already solved Type 1:
They've read the books. Done YouTube trainings. Watched TEDx. Know the frameworks.
And in low-stakes situations, they're excellent.
It's only under pressure that their presence falls apart.
→ It's a Nervous System wiring problem.
And the good news about wiring problems:
They can be rewired.
I'm hosting a stupidly practical & to the point workshop on this on April 26th. Click HERE to register.
(Some experienced leaders & founders will be joining us)
