Your speaking anxiety comes in 2 forms or types:

First Type (The Good):

The speaking nerves that give you energy to perform at your optimal best.

It's a resource, not a threat...

It's your body's natural response to high-stake situations and gives you energy, fuel, and more blood flow to help you rise to the challenge and kick butts...

whether on stage or off stage.

It's your guts and body's way of telling that you care about your topic, presentation, stories, and the audience you're speaking to.

It proves you're a human being with emotions...

NOT an AI bot.

This is the good type, and I CRAVE it when I'm on stage because it makes my senses heightened:

My memory gets sharper.

My voice becomes louder.

I get physically charged up to rock and roll and give people what they came for.

So, this form of anxiety (or speaking nerves) is a resource, not a threat.

Cherish it!

Second Type (The Ugly):

The anxiety that stems from your self-esteem beliefs such as:

  • I'm not important
  • I'm good enough if others think well of me
  • I'm not competent or smart enough
  • What I have to say is not important
  • I'm a failure, a fraud, a phony
  • Something's wrong with me
  • I'm not capable
  • etc.

This type of anxiety is ugly and can be crippling under high-stake situations.

It makes us question our abilities, competence, good-enoughness, and our sanity.

It makes us feel worthless, fraud, and failure...

and leads to self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and us saying no to new and exciting opportunity whatsoever

...thus, never accepting new challenges and getting out of our comfort zones.

It makes us feel there's something wrong with us and we may not be capable.

This is the type of anxiety we want to get rid of...

and it's only possible if you uncover the self-limiting beliefs causing it, eliminate them and replace with beliefs that make you feel who you really are...

Beliefs that make you take on new challenges, embrace opportunities, and speak your mind and heart with confidence in any setting...

Both on and off stage.
