Free Your Voice from Speaking Anxiety

Ever watched the LOUD ONES get all opportunities?

While you sit there... knowing you're just as capable
(Maybe EVEN better)

But that knot in your stomach when meeting new people?

That's costing you more than just comfort.

It costed me:

→ Lost promotions
→ Countless growth opportunities
→ And connections that could've changed everything

UNTIL I cracked the code...

Most 'conversation tips' assume you're outgoing.

Here's what actually works even if you aren't.

You see Reader,

most feel anxious just saying hello to strangers but it's doable with intention and practice:

1. Silent connection hack
- Smile with your eyes first
- Hold for 2 seconds (not creepy-long 😉)
- Watch their defense barriers drop
- Science: Smiling releases oxytocin in both you & them

(This alone builds instant TRUST)

2. Low-pressure opener
- Start small, like tasting tiny bites
- Use environment-based comments:
• "This coffee smells amazing"
• "Love how quiet this spot is"
• "That presentation was interesting"
- No pressure to continue if it doesn't flow

(Pro tip: Reference something specific they've done... it shows you pay attention)

3. Genuine compliment strategy
- Notice something specific about them
- Keep it professional & authentic
- Examples that work:
• "Great point in the meeting today"
• "Love the organization of your presentation"
• "Your energy really lifted the room"

(People remember how you made them FEEL)

4. Opinion magnet method
- Make them the expert
- Ask specific, not vague questions:
• "What's your take on [specific topic]?"
• "I'm split between [A] vs [B], what would you prioritize?"
- Listen more than you speak

The idea is to share something that you genuinely liked so they feel seen, valued, and acknowledged.

(Everyone LOVES sharing their expertise)

5. Consistency game
- Practice ONE technique daily
- Start with 30-second interactions
- Celebrate small wins
- Track your progress weekly

BONUS TIP:
Create a 'conversation win' journal. Document every successful interaction
(No matter how small)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Screenshot this
2. Try at least ONE technique tomorrow
3. Do it intentionally and with consistency to get the compounding results.

Remember you have to keep exercising these ideas frequently to see real impact on your confidence and comfort when initiating conversations with others.

The more you do it, the better you'll get at it, and you'll be surprised by the progress.

P.S.--Which of these ideas do you think are worth trying today or this week? Reply to this email and let me know.

P.P.S.--This weekend, I went to visit the Horse Tooth Reservoir in Colorado, and it was worth the time 😍:
